The guy with the one star review who claims this tool is only good with new wheels just doesn't know what he's talking about. Let me tell you, this dismount tool has saved my rear-end many times over. Out on a service call putting 6 All-Steel trailer tires with sidewall beads thicker than 1.5 inches in 100 degree weather--if it wasn't for this tool, I would have been toast. Out on the field changing out scrapper tires for industrial use--again, the tool was invaluable in the success of job completion. And, at the store shop, a customer bringing in an old eighteen wheeler tire/wheel that looked to be 30yrs old, where others had given-up, the Esco dismount tool made the job of dismounting that old stubborn tire like a walk in the park--there's no other way that tire would have come off other than burning the darn thing off--no joke! I've got 25 yrs in the tire business, and take it from me; the Esco dismount tool is worth its weight in gold many times over.
